Saudi Arabia has reactivated its East-West Pipeline, which transports crude oil from oil fields in the eastern parts of the kingdom to the Red Sea port of Yanbu.
The pipeline had been shut down following attacks on September 13, disrupting loading operations at the export terminal.
Pakistan had increased its use of Saudi Arabia’s Yanbu port after maritime traffic through the Strait of Hormuz declined.
The resumption of the pipeline is expected to restore crude oil flows through the Red Sea route for shipments to Pakistan.
