ISLAMABAD: A Saudi investor group has expressed interest in investing up to $10 billion in Pakistan, with the government assuring the delegation of full support and facilitation.
The development came during a meeting between Federal Minister for the Board of Investment Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh and a high-level delegation comprising business leaders, overseas Pakistanis and media representatives.
The meeting focused on investment opportunities in various sectors of Pakistan and ways to facilitate foreign investors.
The delegation included representatives of Falcon Vision, including its Vice Chairman and President in Jeddah, Muhammad Tariq Ghaus, Falcon Vision Pakistan’s Business Head Zulfiqar, Country Head Dr Ismatullah Khan, as well as other business figures and overseas Pakistanis.
During the meeting, the Saudi investment group conveyed its interest in investing $10 billion in Pakistan. The government assured the group that all possible facilities and support would be provided to help turn the proposed investment into concrete projects.
Officials said the initiative could open new avenues for Saudi investment and strengthen economic and business ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
