Schedule Announced; First Hajj Flight on April 18

ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Religious Affairs has announced the schedule for Hajj flights to Saudi Arabia.

According to the ministry, the first Hajj flight from Pakistan will depart on April 18, 2026.

Under the official government Hajj scheme, 468 flights will transport pilgrims to the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah. On April 18, flights will depart from Karachi, Lahore, Sialkot, and Multan. Pilgrims will be informed about their specific flight details next week.

A total of 119,000 pilgrims will travel under the government scheme, including 67,230 men and 51,846 women. On the first day of Hajj operations, pilgrims will be flown to Madinah on four flights, and flights to Jeddah will begin on May 4. The first long-haul flight to Madinah is scheduled for May 7, and the last flight from Pakistan will depart on May 21.

The entire operation to transport pilgrims to the holy sites will continue for 34 days. During the first 15 days, pilgrims will primarily be flown to Madinah. A total of 186 flights will go to Madinah and 282 flights to Jeddah.

Airlines participating in this year’s Hajj operation include PIA, Air Blue, Air Sial, and Saudia Airlines. Flights will depart from eight Pakistani cities: Islamabad will have 129 flights, Karachi 124 flights, Lahore 104 flights, Quetta 18 flights, Multan 34 flights, Sialkot 26 flights, Faisalabad 23 flights, and Sukkur 5 flights.
