School Closures Extended Across Pakistan Until March 31
ISLAMABAD: Schools and educational institutions in Pakistan will remain closed until March 31, following extensions announced by multiple provincial governments.
In Balochistan, the provincial government extended the holiday period to March 31, citing national directives. Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Shahid Rand stated that the situation will continue to be monitored, and future decisions will be made accordingly, urging parents to continue their children’s educational activities at home.
In Punjab, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz announced that schools will also remain closed until March 31 due to regional security concerns and the ongoing petroleum crisis. Exams will proceed as scheduled, and schools may conduct online classes during the closure.
Similarly, in Sindh, the provincial cabinet approved keeping schools closed until March 31 as part of energy conservation measures. Despite the closures, examinations will be conducted on their planned dates.
