LAHORE: Punjab Minister for Education Rana Sikandar Hayat has issued a stern warning to private schools operating during holidays, announcing that strict action will be taken against those found violating the directives.

In a statement, the minister expressed grave concern over the ongoing trend of private schools remaining open during the holiday in the cold season and said complaints regarding the matter will lead to severe consequences, including action against the relevant chief executive officer (CEO).

He said both private and public institutions had been given clear instructions to refrain from opening schools during holidays. Hayat stated that all schools must comply with the government’s directives, warning that any violation of these orders would be deemed unacceptable.

The education minister urged both school administrations and teaching staff to ensure full adherence to these guidelines, reaffirming that the government would not tolerate any disregard for its regulations.
