RAWALPINDI: Security forces conducted an intelligence based operation in Tirah valley of Khyber district in Khyber Pakthunkhwa and killed 25 terrorists and injured 11 others on Tuesday.
In a statement issued in Rawalpindi, the inter services intelligence ISPR said a commander of the terrorists was also killed during the operation today.
The statement said, ” In the operation, 25 Khwarij, including Kharji ring leader Abuzar alias Saddam, have been sent to hell, while eleven Khawrij have been injured.”
The operation by the military in the KP province was conducted in the wake of rising incident of killing in Balochistan province.
Yesterday morning, it was reported that armed men blocked different highways in Balochistan for hours. In one such incident that occurred in Musakhel town, the armed men stopped buses and trucks, pulled down the passengers and shot dead 23 of them belonging to the province of Punjab.
In another town did armed men also killed 10 people in Qalat. They also torched dozens vehicles and then fled away.
