RAWALPINDI: Security forces have killed 24 militants in two separate intelligence-based operations carried out in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The ISPR said that security forces conducted an operation in Orakzai district after receiving intelligence about the presence of militants. During the operation, troops effectively targeted a militant hideout, resulting in the killing of 14 militants.

In a separate intelligence-based operation in Khyber district, security forces engaged militants in an exchange of fire, killing 10 more.

According to the military’s media wing, clearance operations are ongoing in the affected areas to eliminate any remaining militants allegedly operating with foreign support. The ISPR reiterated that Pakistan’s security forces and law enforcement agencies remain committed to eradicating terrorism under the National Action Plan and the federally approved vision of Azm-e-Istehkam.

The statement emphasized that counterterrorism operations will continue with full force until the complete elimination of the threat posed by foreign-backed militancy
