RAWALPINDI: Eight terrorists belonging to the extremist group Fitna al-Khawarij were killed in a security operation in North Waziristan.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), intelligence reported movement of a terrorist group near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. Security forces conducted a timely and effective operation in response.

During the operation, eight terrorists, reportedly backed by Indian support, were neutralized, and weapons and ammunition were recovered from their possession.

The ISPR stated that clearance operations continue in the area to eliminate remaining terrorists, emphasizing that law enforcement agencies will persist until terrorism is completely eradicated.

ISPR further criticized the Afghan Taliban government for failing to fulfill its border responsibilities, urging them to prevent the use of Afghan territory for terrorist activities and to stop involvement of Afghan citizens in terrorism in Pakistan.
