RAWALPINDI: Security forces carried out an intelligence-driven operation in the Klaachi area of Dera Ismail Khan, resulting in the elimination of seven terrorists.
According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) here, the operation was launched following credible intelligence about the presence of terrorists in the area.
The ISPR confirmed that during the operation seven terrorists were killed in a fierce exchange of fire. During the firefight, Naik Yasir Khan was martyred. The ISPR also reported that significant quantities of weapons and ammunition were recovered from the slain militants, who had been involved in multiple terrorist activities in the region.
A clearance operation WAs still underway to eliminate any remaining militants and dismantle their networks. The ISPR reaffirmed the nation’s resolve to completely eradicate the menace of terrorism, stressing that the ongoing counter-terrorism campaign will continue with full force and determination from both security forces and law enforcement agencies.
