Senators condemn Israeli aggression on Palestinians
UN urged to interview and stop further destruction in Gaza.
ISLAMABAD: The Senate standing committee on human rights at a meeting strongly condemned Israeli air strikes on Gaza that has left thousands of civilians including children dead.
It also expressed regrets that most of the western countries including the US did not condemn the Israeli agression but openly backed it.
The senators called upon the international community including the UN to intervene and stopped the Zionist state from bloodbath in Gaza.
The Senate committee unanimously passed a resolution, condemning Israel’s indiscriminate bombardment and killing of innocent Palestinians.
The committee meeting was chaired by Senator Walid Iqbal.
The senators emphasized that the only solution to durable peace in the Middle East was to establish an independent and sovereign state of Palestine on the basis of pre-1967 frontiers, with Al-Quds as its capital.
