Shahid Chaudhry from Pakistan appointed judge in Canada

A graduate of University of Engineering and Technology Lahore, Chaudhry moved to Canada 25 years ago.

ONTARIO: Shahid Chaudhry from Pakistan has been appointed judge in the Ontario Court of Justice, according to media reports.

Chaudhry is the first Pakistani nation to have the honor of becoming a judge in Canada. 

Hailing from Burewala town of Punjab, Chaudhry moved to Canada 25 years ago. He is a graduate of the University of Engineering and Technology Lahore with a degree in electrical engineering. 

After settling in Canada, he obtained a postgraduate degree in law. He remained member of different organization and also worked as a consultant on immigration and citizenship.
