Shehbaz, UAE President Discuss Ways to Enhance bilateral Ties

RAHIM YAR KHAN: A key aspect of the meeting between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Rahim Yar Khan on Tuesday was the recognition of the vital role played by the 2.1 million Pakistanis living in the United Arab Emirates.

Prime Minister Sharif expressed gratitude to the UAE leadership for their continued support and hospitality towards the Pakistani community, which serves as a bridge between the two nations. These expatriates not only contribute significantly to the UAE’s economy but also play a crucial role in strengthening the cultural and diplomatic ties between Pakistan and the UAE.

The two leaders discussed a wide range of topics, focusing on ways to enhance bilateral cooperation. From defense and energy to information technology and trade, the leaders explored various avenues for deepening collaboration.

Sharif emphasized that the historical relationship between Pakistan and the UAE should evolve into a robust economic partnership, one that can serve the mutual interests of both nations.

“The potential for further strengthening our economic collaboration is immense,” said Prime Minister Sharif. “By boosting trade and strategic investments, we can unlock new opportunities for both our countries.” The discussions highlighted the promising future for cooperation in sectors such as information technology, energy, mining, and defense.
