ISLAMABAD: Amid escalating rhetoric between New Delhi and Islamabad, the Sikh advocacy group Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) has urged Pakistan to allow Sikhs from around the world to enlist in the Pakistan Army.
In a message shared on social media, SFJ leader Gurpatwant Singh criticized the Indian Defence Minister’s remarks about Sindh, calling them empty threats.
He stated that if Pakistan issues an official enlistment protocol, thousands of Sikhs globally are willing to join its armed forces.
He further suggested that Pakistan establish a special registry for Sikh volunteers and form a dedicated Sikh Defence Unit, specifically deployed in Sindh.
Gurpatwant Singh also appealed to Sikh soldiers currently serving in the Indian Army to refuse participation in any conflict, claiming that international law allows military personnel to abstain from war based on conscience.
