Sikhs will stand as first line of defense for Pakistan: Gurpatwant Singh

Says if Pakistan supports cause of Punjab, Sikhs will block Indian tanks in case of an attack.

NEW YORK: Khalistan Movement leader Gurpatwant Singh Pannun has said that if India launches an attack on Pakistan through Punjab, Sikhs will stand as the first line of defense for Pakistan.

Speaking on Geo News program “Jirga”, Pannun stated that Sikh soldiers in the Indian army do not see Pakistan as their enemy but consider the Indian system their real opponent.

He added that if the Pakistani government and military support Sikhs and the cause of Punjab, and help advance the Khalistan referendum under UN supervision, Sikhs will block Indian tanks and defend Pakistan.

Pannun also accused India of interfering in Balochistan and funding terrorist activities there. He said Pakistan has the right to take evidence of such actions to the United Nations.

He claimed that India is mistaken in thinking it cannot be divided, saying Punjab will be the first to gain independence, followed by Kashmir. Pannun alleged that recent incidents like the Pahalgam attack were planned by the Indian government to defame Kashmiri freedom fighters.

He also highlighted that hundreds of Sikh activists are facing sedition charges in India and that investigations into Modi’s government are ongoing in Canada and the US.

At the end of the program, Pannun chanted “Pakistan Zindabad” and “Khalistan Zindabad,” drawing widespread reactions.
