According to sources, the Sindh police chief’s office has sent a letter to the provincial Home Department seeking approval to transfer the personnel to the federal capital. The letter also requests arrangements for their transportation to Islamabad and their return after completion of the assignment.
The police have proposed operating a special train from Karachi to Islamabad and back to facilitate the movement of the personnel. The letter recommends coordination with the Ministry of Interior and Pakistan Railways for the necessary arrangements.
According to the letter, similar train arrangements were made for the transportation of Sindh Police personnel in November 2024, prompting the proposal for special travel arrangements this time as well.
The Sindh Police has designated the DIG Transport and Technical as the focal person for coordinating the deployment and return of the personnel.
The police contingent will leave for Islamabad once approval for the deployment and transportation arrangements for the 2,000 personnel have been finalized.
