According to the Sindh School Education Department, the Facial Recognition Attendance Monitoring and Evaluation System will be introduced in Karachi East, Hyderabad, Naushehro Feroze, Jacobabad, Ghotki and Umerkot from tomorrow.

Under the pilot phase, attendance of around 50,000 teaching and non-teaching employees will be monitored through the new digital system.

The initiative is aimed at improving attendance monitoring and strengthening administrative oversight in educational institutions across the selected districts.

The department said employees will also be able to submit leave applications through the application from their homes, while the approval process will be handled online.

Authorities expect the digital system to make attendance and leave management more efficient, transparent and convenient for education department staff.
