Dharna to continue till Imran’s announcement: Gandapur

Holds press conference after fleeing to Mansehra from Islamabad.

MANSEHRA: PTI leader and Khyber Pakthunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur here said that sit-ins will continue for the release of Imran Khan.

After fleeing from Islamabad along with Bushra Bibi, wife of jailed former Prime Minister Imran Khan, Gandapur held a press conference in Mansehra and said that the movement for the release of Imran Khan and acceptance of other demands would continue.

He said that the PTI had reached D Chowk in Islamabad after being allowed by Imran Khan and was holding a peaceful protest but the government used brutal force and opened fire on the participants.

Gandapur said that Imran Khan had directed that the protest sit-in should continue till his announcement to end it, so the Dharna has not been called off and continues.

He alleged hat firing was opened on PTI workers in which hundreds were killed and hundreds of others injured while thousands of our workers have also been arrested, he said without telling his workers why he didn’t stay back to lead his workers.

He however paid tribute to the party workers and said he would register FIRs against those who used force against the protesters. He also announced that heirs of party workers killed during the protest would be paid a compensation of Rs10 million each.
