Six Children Among Eight Killed In Academy Roof Collapse

PINDI BATTIAN: A devastating tragedy struck the Sukhiki Mandi area of Pindi Bhattian when the roof of a private academy suddenly collapsed, resulting in the deaths of at least eight people, including six innocent children.

According to rescue officials, the deceased also include the academy’s owner along with his mother, in addition to several young students who had gathered inside the building at the time of the incident.

Two children were miraculously rescued alive from the debris and were immediately shifted to the Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) hospital, where they are receiving urgent medical treatment.

Rescue teams responded swiftly to the emergency, rushing to the scene and beginning the difficult task of clearing the rubble to search for survivors.

The ongoing operation is being directly supervised by the Assistant Commissioner of Pindi Bhattian to ensure that no individual remains trapped beneath the collapsed structure.

The horrific incident has plunged the entire locality into mourning, as grief-stricken residents gathered at the site to assist rescue workers, offer support, and express solidarity with the bereaved families.

Authorities have assured that further investigations will determine the cause of the roof collapse, as sorrow and shock continue to grip the community.
