Six laborers killed in factory roof collapse in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: As many as six workers lost their lives after the roof of a factory they were working in collapsed on them in Islamabad on Tuesday. 

According to the police and Rescue 1122, the incident occurred in Humak Town in the rural area of the federal capital. After being informed about the incident, rescuers reached the factory and saved two laborers who were buried under the debris of the collapsed building. 

The injured laborers were from different parts of Punjab and Karachi. The injured have been shifted to a hospital with multiple injuries but doctors said their condition was out of danger.

It could not be immediately ascertained what caused the collapse of the roof of the factory. Police said that an inquiry had been launched into the incident.

The dead bodies of the laborers were being dispatched to the hometowns of the deceased.
