MUZAFFARGARH: Relatives of the nine laborers who were shot dead in Saravan area of Iran have held a protest demonstration demanding the return of the dead bodies for burial in their hometowns.
The protest was held outside the office of the assistant commissioner Muzaffargarh. The laborers belonged to Muzaffargarh and Lodhran towns of Punjab.
They have been as Muhammad Asif, Muhammad Shoaib, Shabbir, Muhammad Azhar and his younger brother Muhammad Asghar.
According to reports, armed men attacked a house in the Sirkan area of Saravan city in Sistan-Baluchestan province near the Pakistani border where the laborers worked and lived and shot them dead.
The protesters were assured that the bodies would be brought home soon. Pakistan’s pavilion to Iran said that two of the three injured would be discharged from hospital today.
