ISLAMABAD: The task force that was constituted by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to trace and arrest those involved in rioting and violence during recent PTI protest today held meeting with the prime minister in the chair.
At the meeting, the Prime Minister was informed that the process to identify all those involved in violence and attacking security forces and police had been started and arms and ammunition and other evidence collected from the protest site had been sent for forensic examination.
Official on the occasion said that the process to identify all those involved in attacks and violence would be completed soon and the suspects would be arrested and presented in courts for legal action.
The Prime Minister ordered that all legal processed should be taken and completed on time in order to bring the culprits to justice and avoid such incidents including attacks on public can private properties stopped in future.
For this very purpose, the government is also going to set up a special force to deal with rioters and all those who take the law into their hands on the pretext of holding protest demonstrations.
It may be noted here that the task force which held its first meeting today was constituted on the direction of on the prime minister at a recent meeting held following the PTI protests in Islamabad in which scores of law enforcement agencies and police personnel were attacked and injured.
