WASHINGTON: The United States refused to respond to a question on PTI founder Imran Khan, saying his case was an internal matter of Pakistan.
US State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce was asked about Imran Khan during a media briefing on Wednesday.
The spokesperson, however, refused to respond to the question and said a country’s internal affairs would not be discussed.
“Trump and the secretary of state have made clear that we care about the planet, that America cares about its neighbors, and about what’s going on in the world,” Bruce said.
In addition, a spokeswoman denied making a list of countries to ban their citizens entry to the United States.
She said the list had been awaited for several days. It doesn’t exist. She said that on the orders of President Trump, US security is being reviewed on how to deal with visa issues and who to allow entry. We will be able to talk about it when this review is complete.
It may be recalled that earlier, media had reported that the Trump administration was considering imposing travel restrictions like its previous tenure, which would affect several countries including Afghanistan and Pakistan.
