KARACHI: The Pakistan Stock Exchange continued its positive trend, with the index reaching the 168,000-point mark.
The market opened higher on the second day of the business week, and the Hundred Index rose by 465 points to close at 168,107 points, up from 167,642 points at the end of the previous session.
Meanwhile, the Pakistani rupee strengthened as the dollar continued to decline. According to the Exchange Companies Association, the dollar fell by five paisas in the interbank market, bringing its value down to 280.42 rupees.
The decrease in the dollar’s value has contributed to an improvement in the local currency’s strength.
