Stock Market Hits New Record; Dollar Becomes Cheaper

KARACHI: Investor confidence has continued to boost the Pakistan Stock Market, with record-breaking gains being recorded.

On the third day of the business week, the market opened strongly, pushing the KSE-100 Index past the 186,000-point mark. During trading, the index rose by more than 1,700 points, reaching a historic high of 186,768 points.

For comparison, the previous trading session ended with a gain of 2,653 points, closing at 185,062 points, marking a historic level.

In parallel, the U.S. dollar became slightly cheaper in the interbank market, dropping by 2 paisas from Rs.280.07 to Rs.280.05.
