KARACHI: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) witnessed a strong start to trading on Thursday, with the benchmark KSE-100 Index gaining 238 points in early hours.
Following the increase, the index was trading at 187,926 points, reflecting renewed investor confidence at the opening of the session.
Meanwhile, the Pakistani rupee showed stability against the US dollar in the interbank market. The dollar remained unchanged at Rs 279.87, indicating short-term exchange rate stability.
Market analysts say the positive momentum in equities and a steady currency suggest improving sentiment amid expectations of economic stability.
