KARACHI: Pakistan’s stock market opened the day with strong gains. The KSE-100 Index, which tracks the top 100 companies listed on the Pakistan Stock Exchange, rose by 1,142 points, reaching a level of 163,077 points.
The increase reflected positive investor sentiment and growing confidence in the market.
At the same time, the US dollar weakened slightly against the Pakistani rupee in the interbank market. The dollar fell by 2 paisa, moving from 280.72 to 280.70 rupees. This small drop shows a slight strengthening of the rupee against the dollar.
Analysts say that rising stock prices combined with a stable or slightly stronger rupee can encourage more investment in the market, benefiting both companies and investors.
