KARACHI: The Pakistan Stock Exchange witnessed a remarkable surge today, with trading opening strongly in the positive zone.
On the third day of the business week, the benchmark index showed significant gains, rising by over 4,000 points to reach 152,886.
Yesterday, the market closed with a 1,900-point increase, ending at 148,743 points. The interbank rate of the US dollar remained stable at PKR 279.15.
Analysts attribute the rally to renewed investor confidence and positive trading sentiment, while trading volumes also saw an uptick.
