Street Movement Gets Momentum to Release Imran: Afridi

PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Sohail Afridi led a street movement rally in Swabi, which moved through different areas of the district and concluded at Anbar after passing Aman Chowk and Topi.

Addressing the participants, the chief minister paid tribute to the people of Swabi for their large turnout and stated that by rejecting negative propaganda, the people of Swabi had proven that they stand like a rock with their leader, Imran Khan.

He said that the Street Movement is not limited to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa but is ongoing across Pakistan, and that the passion, enthusiasm, and love of the people of Swabi for Imran Khan are unparalleled.

The chief minister said that the treatment being meted out to Imran Khan was extremely concerning. He added that their objective is big and clear, and their sole goal is the release of their leader. He advised party workers to remain focused on their objective, keep their passion alive, but not allow anyone to exploit this spirit against their cause.

Afridi said that fear of Imran Khan is present everywhere, and it is under this fear that he has been unjustly imprisoned. However, he asserted, they stand firm like a rock against all tactics and conspiracies of their opponents. He said that the Street Movement has deprived opponents of sleep, and on February 8 the public will express its emotions and passion with full force.

He made it clear that honor and disgrace, life and death, and sustenance lie in the hands of Almighty Allah, therefore there is no need to fear anyone.

Addressing the gathering in Anbar, he said that today Section 804 is effectively imposed across Swabi from one end to the other, and on February 8 the people will come out against the oppression of mandate thieves. He said that the opponents now have only one agenda left: to eliminate Imran Khan and Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf. He added that despite his unjust imprisonment, Imran Khan remains the only leader who possesses a clear vision for Pakistan’s stability and public welfare.
