QUETTA: The FIA’s Anti-Human Trafficking Circle in Quetta has arrested a key sub-agent, Irfan, and detained 8 Afghan nationals during an operation against a human smuggling network.
According to an FIA spokesperson, Irfan, the arrested sub-agent, played a significant role in the smuggling ring. During the operation, crucial evidence including WhatsApp chats from the suspect’s phone was recovered, providing clear proof of his involvement in human trafficking. A rickshaw used in the smuggling operations was also seized.
Irfan disclosed that he had direct contacts with facilitators in Afghanistan, including Taj Muhammad and Kamil, confirming their involvement in the smuggling activities. FIA raids are underway to apprehend these individuals, while further investigations continue with the arrested suspect.
Authorities are intensifying efforts to locate the fleeing masterminds of the network, Gul Bedeen and Ghamai, whose whereabouts remain unknown.
