Suicide Attack Foiled in North Waziristan, Four Terrorists Killed

PESHAWAR: Security forces foiled a suicide attack by militants in the Mir Ali area of North Waziristan on Friday, killing four terrorists in the process.

According to officials here, a militant driving an explosives-laden vehicle rammed it into the outer wall of a security forces’ camp, causing a powerful blast. Following the explosion, three more terrorists attempted to storm the camp.

However, due to the timely and courageous response of security personnel, all three attackers were killed outside the camp perimeter. No casualties or damage were reported among security forces.

Security officials stated that in the past two days, a total of 88 terrorists supported by the Afghan Taliban have been killed during various operations.

They reaffirmed that under the National Action Plan, Pakistan’s armed forces and law enforcement agencies will continue their operations until the elimination of the last terrorist.
