DAMASCUS (SYRIA): A suicide bombing at a church in the Syrian capital of Damascus has left at least 15 people dead and over 100 injured, according to the Syrian Ministry of Interior.
The attack took place during a religious gathering when the bomber detonated explosives inside the church, causing chaos and destruction. Eyewitnesses reported that the assailant blew himself up amidst the congregation.
Authorities have confirmed that the suicide bomber was affiliated with the extremist group ISIS (Daesh). Emergency services responded swiftly, and the area has since been secured.
