T20 World Cup: India Defeats England to Reach Final

MUMBAI: In the second semi-final of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, India defeated England by 7 runs to secure a spot in the final.

Chasing India’s total of 254, England managed 246 runs in their 20 overs, falling just short of the target.

The match, played in Mumbai, saw England captain Harry Brook win the toss and opt to field first, giving India the chance to set a big target.

India posted 253 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Sanju Samson starred with a brilliant 89 runs, while Shivam Dubey contributed 43, Ishan Kishan scored 39, Surya Kumar Yadav 11, Hardik Pandya 27, and Tilak Varma added 21 runs.

For England, Will Jacks and Adil Rashid picked up 2 wickets each.

In response, England managed 246 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in their 20 overs. Jacob Bethell played a superb innings of 105 runs, supported by Will Jacks who scored 35 and Jos Buttler who added 25 runs.
