FAISALABAD: The District Monitoring Officer in Faisalabad has formally issued a notice to the Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry over an alleged breach of the election code of conduct.
According to officials, Talal Chaudhry visited constituency PP-116 Faisalabad, where a by-election is scheduled to take place on 23 November. During his visit, he also addressed the media, and his statements were broadcast across several television channels.
Authorities say this activity constitutes a violation of the Election Act 2017 and the rules governing political conduct during the election period.
The notice requires Talal Chaudhry to submit his written explanation within two days.
