ISLAMABAD: Afghan security forces have inflicted significant casualties on Taliban fighters during the ongoing Operation Ghazab Lil-Haq, dealing a major blow to militant networks across the region.
According to the latest updates shared by Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Attaullah Tarar, on his social media handle X, a total of 684 Afghan Taliban operatives have been killed, while 912 others have sustained injuries during the operation.
The minister further stated that security forces have successfully destroyed 252 check posts and captured and dismantled an additional 44. Moreover, 229 tanks, armoured vehicles, and artillery guns have been neutralized, significantly weakening the operational capabilities of the militants.
Air strikes have effectively targeted 73 locations across Afghanistan identified as critical terrorist support infrastructure, disrupting their networks and logistics.
The operation continues to underscore the determination of Afghan security forces to eliminate insurgent threats and restore stability and security in the region.
