NEW YORK: The Consul General of Pakistan in New York, Aamer Ahmed Atozai, attended a cultural Eid celebration titled “Tapestry of Joy” organized to mark the Muslim festival with a message of unity and inclusivity.
The event was jointly hosted by Muslim Volunteers for New York (MV4NY) and the Manhattan Borough President’s Office. It drew a diverse participants, including Manhattan Borough President Mark Levine, members of the Pakistani-American community, and other Muslim groups from across New York City.
Speaking at the event, community leaders highlighted the importance of Eid as a time to promote compassion, cultural pride, and togetherness. The celebration featured various cultural presentations that reflected the rich diversity of the Muslim community in the city.
Mr. Atozai’s participation was seen as part of the consulate’s ongoing efforts to engage with the diaspora and promote cultural diplomacy. The event also underscored the shared values embraced by different communities living in the United States.
The Tapestry of Joy celebration concluded with a strong message of solidarity and harmony among communities of various ethnic and religious backgrounds.
