TEHRAN: A solidarity rally near Enqelab (Revolution) Square in Tehran, held to honor Iran’s newly appointed Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, came under attack, by U.S. and Israeli forces on Wednesday.
Despite the explosions, which were broadcast live on Iranian state television, demonstrators remained adamant, waving national flags and chanting slogans against the attackers. Iranian citizens refused to be intimidated, showing resilience in the face of violence.
The rallies reflect large-scale public support for Mojtaba Khamenei, following his recent elevation by the Assembly of Experts after the death of former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Authorities say these gatherings demonstrate the Iranian people’s unity and defiance against foreign interference.
