ISLAMABAD: An alleged dangerous terrorist wanted in Turkiye was arrested with the help of Pakistani security forces.
According to Turkish media, ISIS-linked Abu Yasser al-Turki was caught at the Pak-Afghan border with the help of Pakistani security officials. According to the media reports, Abu Yasser al-Turki was involved in attacks on music concerts in Turkiye besides helping to transfer terrorists from Europe to Afghanistan.
It may be recalled that Pakistan in March this year had also arrested a top commander of ISIS, Mohammad Sharifullah, whom the United States called the mastermind of the Abbey Gate bombing during the withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2021. US President Donald Trump thanked Pakistan in his address to the Congress.
The recent arrest of the terrorist wanted in Turkiye shows the close coordination between the law enforcers of the two countries. Turkiye extended all-out support to Pakistan in the recent war with India on which India announced to boycotts its product.
