Terrorists Attack FC Headquarters in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: Three militants were killed and three Federal Constabulary (FC) personnel were martyred after heavily armed terrorists carried out a coordinated suicide attack on the FC Headquarters in Peshawar early Monday morning.

Officials confirmed that the assault, which appeared to be meticulously planned, took place at 8:10 AM, targeting one of the city’s most sensitive security installations.

According to Peshawar Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Dr. Mian Saeed, the attack was initiated by three suicide bombers. One of the attackers detonated his explosive vest at the main entrance, causing a powerful blast that reverberated across the area.

The remaining two militants managed to breach the outer security perimeter and enter the compound, prompting an immediate and intense response from FC personnel stationed inside the facility.

Security forces engaged the intruders in a fierce exchange of fire. Both militants were shot dead before they could detonate their suicide vests or inflict further damage.

CCPO Dr. Saeed stated that the determined and tactical action of FC personnel prevented the attackers from reaching more sensitive sections of the headquarters, thereby averting a potentially far deadlier outcome.

Deputy Commandant FC Javed Iqbal confirmed that all three suicide attackers were eliminated, adding that the FC troops demonstrated exceptional bravery and professionalism in countering the assault.

Despite their courageous efforts, three FC personnel embraced martyrdom, sacrificing their lives while defending the headquarters from the attackers.

Hospital and rescue officials reported that five individuals, including two FC personnel and three civilians, sustained injuries in the blast and exchange of fire.

They were promptly shifted to medical facilities where they are receiving treatment. Doctors have stated that the condition of all injured persons is currently stable and under control.
