Terrorists hiding in Afghanistan pose threat to Pakistan: FO
Spokesperson says that a number of heads of state and govt visited Pakistan in the outgoing year which remained very active diplomatically.
ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has said that terrorists hiding in Afghanistan pose threat to the security of Pakistan.
Speaking at a weekly briefing at the Foreign Office on Thursday, spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said that Pakistan had repeatedly taken up the issue of terrorist sanctuaries located inside Afghanistan with the interim government in Kabul.
She said Pakistan had also shared credible intelligence with the Afghan authorities about the presence of the terror sanctuaries of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan who are operating from the areas located along the Pakistan border.
Recently, Pakistan carried out air strikes on terror camps located in Afghan provinces along the Afghan provinces, and according to Afghan authorities scores of people were killed snd injured.
The spokesperson said that a number of heads of state and govt visited Pakistan in the outgoing year, adding the year remained very active for the country diplomatically.
