Thousands Return Home from Iran via Gwadar and Chagai

QUETTA: In the wake of the US-Iran war and prevailing situation in the Middle East,  thousands of Pakistani citizens have returned home from Iran, traveling through Gwadar and Chagai.

In a message on the social media platform X, Chief Minister of Balochistan, Sarfaraz Bugti, stated that between February 28 and last night, 5,615 Pakistani citizens returned from Iran via these routes. Additionally, 431 foreign nationals, including 2,117 Iranian drivers, also crossed into Pakistan.

He said that the district administration provided excellent care and assistance to the arriving passengers, ensuring they reached their destinations safely.

The chief minister added that the Balochistan government remains fully committed to facilitating travelers at border crossings, ensuring their security, comfort, and well-being.
