Officials say it will take at least three days to clear the road.

GILGIT: Thousands of people are stranded after all landsliding blocked the Karakorum Highway in Kohistan, cutting off link between Gilgit-Baltistan and other parts of the country.

Officials said that work at the blocked portion of the highway had been started but it would take at least three days to clear the road and reopen it for traffic.

The landslide in the Harban area of Upper Kohistan was caused by heavy rain in the area. As a result, thousands of people were stranded in different points of the highway.
