KARAK: In quadcopter attack on a Federal Constabulary (FC) fort in Karak, five personnel were injured on Monday.
When the injured officials were being shifted to hospital, it came under targeted gunfire from armed assailants, resulting in the martyrdom of three of the FC personnel.
According to the District Police Officer (DPO) Karak, the initial attack occurred when a quadcopter struck the FC fort, injuring five of its personnel. The injured were transferred to a nearby hospital in an ambulance, but as they were en route, the vehicle was ambushed near Bahadur Khel by unknown gunmen.
The targeted assault on the ambulance resulted in the death of three of the injured officers, while two members of the rescue team also sustained injuries.
Police sources confirmed that the remaining injured personnel were safely transported to the hospital. In response to the incident, law enforcement agencies launched a large-scale search operation in the area to locate and apprehend the assailants.
