BOONI: Local people caught three men from Kohistan district of Khyber Pakthunkhwa after they murdered a man in a remote village of Upper Chitral and fled.
According to the police, Rehmatullah had given his daughter in marriage to a man in Kohistan district a year ago. However, she developed differences with her husband and returned to Chitral and took khula.
Her husband identified as Muhammad Zakir along with his two accomplices reached the village of his former wife in Mulkhow area of Upper Chitral and killed father of the woman and escaped.
Police across Chitral launched a search and enhanced checking at the exit points of Chitral.
A day later, local people caught two of the murderers in Oweer village where they had reached at night and were staying at a mosque.
The main accused was later also caught by villagers near Reshun village. The three killers of were then handed over to the police who shifted them to the Mulkhow police station.
