MASTUNG: Seven people lost their lives, including three schoolchildren, in a bomb blast in Mastung, Balochistan, on Friday.
Officials said the bomb was planted at Hospital Chowk in Mastung and remotely exploded targeting a police van. As a result, three schoolchildren and a policeman died and scores of people were injured. Most of the injured were school girls.
The injured were shifted to hospital where three of them also died. Police and other law enforcement agencies personnel reached the spot and cordoned off the area.
The police said that the bomb was planted at Hospital Chowk to target the police. As a police vehicle was passing through the area it went off. The schoolchildren were also in the area and hit by the explosion.
