GWADAR: Security forces have foiled an attempted attack on an unoccupied camp belonging to a construction company in Gwadar, killing three suspected terrorists while an operation against other suspects was underway, according to security sources.

The sources said militants allegedly affiliated with Fitna al-Hindustan attempted to target the vacant camp but were thwarted by security forces, who responded promptly.

Three militants were killed during the operation, while additional suspects were reportedly surrounded as security personnel continued efforts to neutralise the threat.

Security sources further said an operation was also underway against militants present at a hotel near the Gwadar Highway.

The General Officer Commanding (GOC) in Gwadar is personally leading the operation, the sources added.

Authorities have not provided further details about the identities of those killed or the overall status of the ongoing operation.
