NEW YORK: The Ambassador of Pakistan to the United States, Mr. Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, attended the Annual Gala Dinner of the Association of Physicians of Pakistani Descent of North America (APPNA) held in New York.
He was accompanied by the Consul General of Pakistan in New York, Mr. Aamer Ahmed Atozai.
The event brought together a large number of doctors, healthcare professionals, and distinguished members of the Pakistani-American community.
In his remarks, Ambassador Sheikh lauded the contributions of Pakistani-origin health professionals, describing them as “our pride.”
He highlighted that their dedication and service benefit both the United States and Pakistan, and emphasized that the Pakistani-American community serves as “true ambassadors of Pakistan,” fostering lasting bonds between the two nations.
The Ambassador noted that the current trajectory of Pakistan–U.S. relations is encouraging and should be further strengthened for mutual benefit.
Consul General Aamer Ahmed Atozai, in his remarks, commended APPNA for its outstanding contributions and continued service to the community.
He described the organization as a “bridge of goodwill and expertise,” whose members exemplify Pakistan’s values through professionalism, compassion, and commitment to humanity, projecting a positive image of the country across the world.
