WASHINGTON: Thousands of demonstrators flooded the streets of Washington D.C. on Friday to demand the resignation of U.S. President Donald Trump.

The protest, held under the banner “Trump Must Go Now,” reflected growing public anger over the President’s policies and leadership style.

Participants marched from downtown Washington toward Capitol Hill, carrying banners and chanting slogans such as “Trump must go!” and “Power to the people!” The demonstrators called for a nationwide campaign of civil disobedience until Trump is removed from office.

According to organizers, the march aimed to highlight what they described as “the erosion of democratic values” and “divisive governance” under Trump’s administration.

Eyewitnesses reported a peaceful but passionate crowd, with thousands joining from across the country. Security forces maintained a visible presence around the Capitol as chants echoed through the capital’s streets.

Political analysts say the protest underscores deepening divisions in the United States, as critics accuse the President of undermining democratic norms while supporters praise his firm stance on key national issues.

The demonstration is one of several recent protests reflecting the tense political climate in Washington and beyond.
