KUALA LUMPUR: US President Donald Trump arrived at Kuala Lumpur International Airport on October 26 to participate in the ASEAN Summit.
He was greeted with a red carpet welcome, during which he excitedly performed a traditional dance while waving the flags of the United States and Malaysia.
After the airport reception, President Trump traveled by car with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim to the summit venue.
The three-day ASEAN meeting brings together leaders from major Asian countries, including China’s Premier Li Qiang, Japan’s new Prime Minister Takayo Sanai, South Korea’s President, and Canada’s Prime Minister.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate virtually. While the summit primarily focuses on economic integration, discussions are also expected on the Gaza situation and the ongoing conflict in Myanmar.
