In an interview with Fox News, Trump said he was at the stage of making a decision on Iran and suggested that significant developments could take place soon. He said the options under consideration included destroying Iran completely, weakening its economy, or reaching an agreement with Tehran.

Trump also adopted a strong tone while discussing Iran and said a decision would be made soon. His remarks come amid continued tensions between Washington and Tehran and a series of increasingly firm statements from both sides.

The US president also indicated that he would likely be willing to meet Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly session.

Pezeshkian and other senior Iranian officials have reportedly been granted US visas to attend the General Assembly, although restrictions have been placed on their movements while in the United States.

Trump’s latest comments come as the US administration continues to consider its approach toward Iran. The president has previously said that he was moving closer to an important decision concerning Tehran.

On the other hand, Iran has also warned that it would respond strongly to any potential US military action. Iranian security official Mohsen Rezaei said Tehran had already presented conditions for negotiations with Washington and that Iran was also prepared for a possible conflict.

While Washington is discussing several possible options regarding Iran, a potential meeting between Trump and Pezeshkian during the UN General Assembly could provide an opportunity for direct diplomatic contact.

However, no final announcement has so far been made regarding a new agreement or a significant reduction in tensions between the United States and Iran.
