PESHAWAR: At least three persons were shot dead and five others injured in a clash over between two groups of people over a social media post.
Police said that a man had posted some photos related to his rivals who also responded by uploading retaliatory posts in Yakatot area of Peshawar.This led to a clash between the two groups.
During the clash, they used weapons and opened fire on each other resulting in the death of the three persons. Five others were also injured in the firing.
Police reached the spot after being informed about the incident by the locals and launched an inquiry. The police later said that four persons involved in the firing have been arrested.
The dead bodies and the injured were shifted to hospital by the police and Rescue 1122 personnel.
